Time for Change

Change is in the air. Medicine Hat is growing exponentially. There will be many struggles as the city grows and its identity develops. There will be many exciting challenges for Hatters as this change progresses. The Esplanade, with or without controversy, will help to expand and maintain our growing city indefinitely. Should the Esplanade be utilized by the whole defining culture of Medicine Hat, the possibilities for cooperation between groups and facilities will be endless. The result will be a strong and united Medicine Hat.

The Experts is also changing to serve Medicine Hat and area more effectively. I have been privileged to write for The Experts since its initial printings. It is also time for change in my life and so I am writing this final “mini” City Cite to thank all my readers over the last two years for taking the time to read about Medicine Hat’s culture through City Cite. I regret not being able to write about more amazing groups and individuals in this city. However, in a few short days I will be starting University. I take with me this valuable experience. And yes, I plan to keep on writing.

I would especially like to thank Kevin Panko for allowing me the freedom to write about my own interests, while at times pushing my boundaries. I wish him and The Experts staff all the best with the new The Experts magazine, to which, hopefully, I will have the chance to contribute on occasion.
